"Pissende Ijsbeer"

I created this bear for a project, where we had to create a scene with street art around the city of Groningen

I decided that I wanted to recreate the pissing polar bear statue that used to stand out on the Groningen museum.

This was a very early project practicing 3d modelling. Because of this, I started with a premade bear asset.

I figured out how to make my models interact with imported models, and adding the character traits.

A small test print was made on my new 3d printer.

He was about the size

of a table top miniature

The small model was used as a test to check and see would there be any issues that would need to be fixed for the larger model

A larger model was then printed

The action feature was then tested and refined until working.

The sunglasses were made from scratch. The snapback was modified to fit the bear’s head

A few revisions were needed to make the hat fit.

Eventually, the glasses were removed as they were too fragile

The hat was made to fit on the small test bear first.
